Chris Jericho’s Wife Was Furious Over Several Gruesome Injuries He Suffered In AEW

Chris Jericho is the master of reinvention, as he has been part of the pro wrestling world for well over three decades now. Jericho is always willing to put his body on the line for the enjoyment of fans. However, he managed to tick off his wife after a series of gruesome injuries this year.

Le Champion has seen a breakthrough in his career after joining AEW. This is because he is more than willing to put his body through a lot of abuse for the sake of a storyline.

This includes his brutal matches against the likes of Nick Gage, Eddie Kingston and others. While speaking on his Talk is Jericho podcast, Chris Jericho recalled the many gruesome injuries he suffered this year. In fact, the injuries ended up making his wife furious.

“Gosh, I was a mess! Twelve stitches and a bruised larynx. I had no toenail and in Barbed Wire Everywhere I had cut my leg, and that’s when I hit Eddie Kingston with a Codebreaker, and I was holding a chair and the chair came right down on my nose.

So I was a mess over the course of those two weeks-three weeks, and my wife was furious! She said ‘You’ve got to stop this.’ From July 20th to August 10th, I had a broken nose, I had stitches in my leg and forehead, I had a bruised larynx, and no toenail. So there you go, wrestling is fake, ladies and gentlemen!”

Chris Jericho is set to defend his ROH Championship against Claudio Castagnoli at ROH Final Battle on December 10th. We will have to wait and see whether he will be able to successfully defend his title or not.
