Triple H Lets Shawn Michaels ‘Do His Own Thing’ In WWE NXT

Two-time WWE Hall of Famer Shawn Michaels was recently promoted to the role of Senior Vice President of Talent Development Creative. That happened when Vince McMahon, the company’s owner, decided to step down as CEO. Triple H also allows lets Shawn do his own thing in WWE NXT.

During the NXT Deadline conference call, Shawn Michaels discussed his authority over the white and gold brand. He revealed that Triple H is letting him “do his own thing” in NXT. Michaels said that he finds himself fortunate that Triple H trusts him.

Michaels revealed that there has been almost no communication over the last several weeks. He said that friendship always takes a backseat when it comes to business, but Triple H trusts his vision. The only complaint they have is not having enough time to catch up, just like old days.

He’s letting me do my thing. We texted the other day and I actually was talking about, ‘Hey I miss… we kinda just miss being able to hang out anymore.’ That was the great thing about him being here on a regular basis. You know, that old friendship thing sort of has to take a backseat in all of this. But right now, I’m very fortunate he trusts me. There has been almost no communication over the last several weeks. He’s just been so busy. He has so much going on.

I don’t wanna add any problems to it. If there’s like anything so urgent, like any question I need the answer, I know he’ll give me that. But right now, we’re rolling what we feel like is pretty good down here.

We understand what they want from us, from the talent. To me, I always feel like all of this is good news if nobody’s calling me, and I’m not bothering them. I feel like everybody is happy with what’s going on. Right now, the only complaints he and I have is honestly not having a lot of time to catch up.

NXT Deadline will emanate from the WWE Performance Center on December 10th, 2022. NXT will then take their next premium live event, Vengeance Day, on the road in February 2023 for the first time since 2020. Keep reading Ringside News for more from the white and gold brand.
