Tony Schiavone is credited as one of the most respected people in the wrestling business. Schiavone is known for being commentator, sports announcer and podcaster, showing excellence in every role he took up. Recently, Tony revealed details regarding his new role in his current company, All Elite Wrestling.

Tony Schiavone began his career in the business in 1985 in Jim Crockett Promotions. He then went on to work with different wrestling giants like WWE, MLW and WCW. Schiavone was also regarded as the voice of WCW, opposite to WWE’s Jim Ross, during the heights of the Monday Night Wars.

Tony Schiavone recently revealed further details about his new role on the recent episode of On Demand: Ask Tony Anything.

“There’s a lot of things that Tony Khan does not want to handle, and so I have to handle a lot of those, be it talent relations or organizational things.”

He further elaborated on his day-to-day operations after taking up the new role.

“We went back and forth with the production truck today and one of the talents about how we are going to do this interview that’s going to happen on Wednesday, and I had to kind of organize that.

“I’m also one that will get with wrestlers, and when two wrestlers have a problem with each other, I’m kind of the person that talks to him.”

Tony Schiavone also explained his approach for resolving conflict between AEW stars. In the end, they are there to handle business and run a live television show.

“So here I come in, say, ‘Okay, you f*ckers, get the f*ck together. We’ve got a f*cking TV show (to do)’.”

Tony Schiavone joined AEW back in 2019 as a commentator. He further expanded his duties to senior producer for AEW live events, and it seems like he’s doing a great job. Since then, the former voice of WCW has been a cornerstone for Tony Khan’s promotion, both on-screen and behind-the-scenes, and he continues to contribute towards the growth of the promotion.
