The Bloodline have been a dominant force on WWE television from the moment Roman Reigns aligned himself with his cousins, Jimmy and Jey Uso. Relationships between two particular members of The Bloodline have been developing since Survivor Series WarGames. Sami Zayn, who carries the title of “Honorary Uce,” is one of these members. He also recently compared The Bloodline’s storyline to that of AMC’s Breaking Bad.
Zayn and Jey Uso have been at odds for months as a result of Jey Uso’s mistrust of Zayn. When Jey unintentionally super-kicked Zayn at WarGames, everything might have reached a boiling point. Instead, the accomplished tactician protected Jey at least once, proved his allegiance to Roman Reigns, and even let Jey to defeat Kevin Owens by pin fall.
The outcome saw Zayn and Jey Uso share a hug that was heard around the globe. Sami Zayn has been loving every second of it in the interim. He recently appeared for an interview on Cheap Heat with Peter Rosenberg and shared his satisfaction.
I’ve been satisfied. I’m a bit of a perfectionist so I watch it back and I’m like man I just wish they had the better shot of that. The guy hugged me and the place blew up, and it was 6-7 months in the making, that moment.
Even if you watch Breaking Bad, you’re like ‘oh this guy has to go down eventually.’ But you don’t know how it’s going to happen. This story’s been one of the most creatively satisfying stories I’ve ever done, the only thing that comes close is probably stuff with Kevin. It’s very unique.
Although Zayn would have preferred a different perspective or even a few extra seconds to heighten the tension, he is aware that in the end it was irrelevant. However, there is ongoing speculation that The Bloodline may ultimately turn against Zayn. He is not really family, after all.
