The concept of celebrities being involved in professional wrestling is as old as the business itself. WWE and WCW have employed this strategy for many years, and AEW has also followed suit. The latest usage of a celebrity is certainly Bow Wow’s current feud with Jade Cargill. However, not everyone is a fan of this move, and it seems Jeff Jarrett decided to defend AEW using Bow Wow.

AEW has also used the likes of Shaquille O’Neal and Mike Tyson in the past as well. On the other hand, WWE has brought the likes of Bad Bunny and Logan Paul as in-ring competitors over the past couple of years.

While speaking on his My World with Jeff Jarrett podcast, Jeff Jarrett talked about AEW using Bow Wow, defending their decision. Jarrett brought up Bad Bunny in WWE while trying to make his point as well.

‘Here’s the cool part that I really think — is Bad Bunny for everybody? No. Is Shaq on TV for everybody? No. Rob Gronkowski or whatever pop culture figure, Logan Paul, whatever it may be. They bring eyeballs and so they may bring a massive amount of eyeballs, if we get a small amount of a percentage to hang around and convert them, it’s such a win.”

We will have to wait and see how AEW continues to book Jade Cargill and Bow Wow’s feud in the coming weeks. He might just have to bring in a female to face the TBS Champion. For the time being, fans aren’t all that invested in the storyline.
