The former 6-time WWE Intercontinental champion made his return this week on Monday Night RAW to confront Austin Theory and attacked him as a payback for laying a beatdown on Ziggler on the November 14 edition that wrote Dolph off WWE television programming for weeks.
According to a report by Fightful Select, Dolph Ziggler’s comeback was not listed internally on any call sheets, production notes, or internal lineup for the show to keep it as a surprise.
Dolph Ziggler’s return was not telegraphed internally.
Dolph Ziggler might be looking to rekindle his rivalry with Austin Theory. This could see The Showoff challenge Theory for the WWE United States championship to avenge his loss from a few weeks prior at the hands of Mr. McMahon’s former protege.
The Showoff made his debut in 2005 as a part of the cheer leading faction ‘The Spirit Squad.’ He was later repackaged as ‘Dolph Ziggler’ in 2008 to begin his run as a singles star. Dolph went on to win various championships in his career, but a monster push to establish him as a main event competitor is yet to come in nearly 15 years of his career in WWE.
