Kurt Angle is a man of various talents. He has proven to be an incredible athlete both inside and outside of the squared ring. This time, he addressed the fact that under Triple H, Austin Theory is not being used effectively in WWE.
In an interview with Bill Apter for Sportskeeda, Angle said he sees something in WWE United States Champion Austin Theory. Theory reminds him a lot of how he operated back in the day. He also thinks that after Vince McMahon’s retirement, things have altered for the 25-year-old.
“I know that they’re not utilizing him as much as they were when Vince was there. I’m impressed by this kid, and I understand why Vince McMahon loved him so much. He’s the whole thing. He has everything.”
Angle argued that since McMahon stepped down as chairman, Austin has not been used to his full potential. The Hall of Famer continued by praising Austin for his skill and the reasons Vince held him in such high regard. Kurt moreover asserts that he possesses all the necessary qualities to become a WWE superstar.
Angle said that in addition to having a great appearance, Theory is a skilled speaker and wrestler. He remembers how Vince initially trained Austin the way he did him back then. Kurt believes that Austin will eventually become a dominant wrestler.
“He can talk, he’s got a great look, he can wrestle. This kid was groomed by Vince McMahon when he started, and rightfully so. That’s what Vince did with me as well. And I think this kid has a huge future. He’s going to be a dominating wrestler in the future.”
For the record, Ringside News exclusively reported that Austin Theory is in better shape now than when Vince McMahon was in control. Since we dropped that report, Theory won the US Title and is still a featured part of WWE RAW.
Things are going well for Theory even without McMahon. As things stand for Austin Theory, Kurt should no longer be concerned about his utilization in WWE.
