Vickie Guerrero’s first onscreen role in WWE came in the form of a heel general manager who was also dating Edge. Naturally, Vickie Guerrero quickly became one of the most hated women on the planet, and fans also hated her for her irritating voice as she exclaimed “Excuse Me!” at the top of her lungs.
Following that, she would go on to manager Dolph Ziggler where she would play the role of a cougar. This continued for some time, until eventually she was dumped by Dolph Ziggler.
After being off WWE television for a while, she finally showed up in AEW in 2019 when she appeared as a guest commentator. At AEW Fight for the Fallen 2020, Vickie Guerrero announced herself as Nyla Rose’s manager. However, she hasn’t been featured consistently on AEW television.
Vickie Guerrero recently spoke to Pro Wrestling Illustrated, where she expressed her desire to do more as a manager in AEW.
“WWE was such a great role for me. I learned so much being a manager. Coming to AEW, I wish I had more opportunity to be in a manager role. I’m very grateful for Nyla [Rose] and Marina [Shafir]. We have a great time, we’re the Vicious Vixens. They’re fun to work with. I’ve presented ideas, I would love to manage more. This is what I do, I’m a manager.”
Vickie Guerrero also stated that she would love to do a cougar role if the opportunity presented itself in AEW. We’ll have to see if that goes down.
“But I’m gracious for what I’m able to do now. If I was asked to do more, I would love to. I would love to play the cougar on AEW. There’s just so many opportunities that you can only ask and if it’s granted then, you know, I would be happy about that but for today, I’m very blessed. I work with two incredible ladies.”
Vickie Guerrero has proven herself to be versatile over the years. While a cougar may be a bit of a stretch given her age, it wouldn’t be a bad thing if she is given more screen time on AEW programming.
