The world of professional wrestling suffered a great loss with the passing of Brodie Lee. Many stories about how great of a human being Lee were shared, and wrestlers continue to pay tribute to him. In fact, Seth Rollins did just that during a recent live event in Brodie Lee’s hometown.
Brodie Lee passed away last year on December 26th 2020. This was a shock to the pro wrestling world, and it did more than simply add “you know what that means” to Dynamite’s weekly intro.
As revealed by a video during a recent WWE live event in Brodie Lee’s hometown of Rochester, New York, Seth Rollins cut an emotional tribute to Brodie Lee, where he honored Brodie Lee yet again. This message was received tremendously well by Brodie Lee’s hometown fans.
Mr Brodie Lee had grown up here. This is really the first time I’ve been here with a microphone in my hand, in his city, to talk about how much I miss him and love him. I just wanted to say, tonight was for him. Every single time we’re in Rochester, in my heart, it means we’re here for him.
Brodie Lee’s contributions to the pro wrestling world will never be forgotten. This is because fans and peers alike will always remember him in one way or the other. Seth Rollins is simply one of many who continue to honor Lee’s memory every day.
