Dustin Rhodes is a true veteran in pro wrestling, and he is currently in the last run of his in-ring career. He has entertained fans for several decades with various gimmicks, but is now ready to end his in-ring career for good. This is because 2023 will be the last year he will be wrestling as an in-ring competitor.
Rhodes made his pro wrestling debut on September 13, 1988, for the Tampa-based Championship Wrestling from Florida promotion. He eventually went to WWE and came to be known as Goldust, changing the landscape of pro wrestling in numerous ways.
Following a long run in WWE and other promotions, Rhodes made his way to AEW, where he seldom competes, but he is active as a coach backstage. According to a tweet by Premier Streaming Network, Dustin Rhodes announced during Great Lakes Championship Wrestling’s Blizzard Brawl event on December 3rd that 2023 will be the last year he will wrestle.

Dustin Rhodes also doesn’t want to end up like Ric Flair in his retirement match. We will have to wait and see how Dustin Rhodes’ final match will turn out. Regardless of the outcome, fans will forever respect everything he has accomplished in the pro wrestling business.
