Matt Cardona has completely revamped himself ever since he left the WWE back in 2020. The Internet champion has found major success wrestling for various promotions. Recently, he was asked about his favorite tag team partner which made him take an unexpected jab at Mojo Rawley.

Mojo Rawley joined WWE NXT in 2013 and looked to become a rising star in the company. He formed an alliance with Matt Cardona, then known as Zack Ryder in 2015 back in NXT. They worked together as a cohesive unit for the next two years before Rawley attacked Ryder to dissolve their exciting tag team.

Matt Cardona has become a major star on the independent circuit, while Mojo Rawley was released by WWE back in March 2021. Cardona was recently asked on Twitter about picking his favorite tag team partner apart from his Major Brother teammate Curt Hawkins. The former NWA World Champion claimed anyone but his former Hype Bro Mojo Rawley.

“Anyone but @MojoMuhtadi.”

Mojo Rawley was taken aback by Cardona’s comments tweeting that he had texted him a week ago begging to reunite their former tag team.

“You just texted me last week begging me to reunite the Hype Bros.”

Matt Cardona currently performs for IMPACT Wrestling and National Wrestling Alliance, where he is heavily featured in programs with his real-life wife, Chelsea Green. Mojo Rawley has not been seen in the squared circle for quite a while now, but he still has close friends in WWE. Rumors of Cardona and Green’s WWE returns are also pretty heavy.
