Chelsea Green is rising to be one of the top female prospects in the wrestling business. The former Hot Mess is currently residing as a cornerstone for the IMPACT Knockouts division, while continuing to appear for other promotions as well. Recently, Green raised up the issue of equal pay between men and women in sports and decided to respond to one of many negative comments that came her way.

Chelsea Green started her wrestling career in 2014 on the independent circuit. She started to gain prominence during her stay in WWE from 2018 to 2021. Green’s actual rise to the mainstream came afterwards, wrestling for IMPACT Wrestling and other promotions. She was paired majorly with her real-life husband, Matt Cardona.

The former IMPACT Knockouts tag team champion has recently raised the issue of equality in the pay structure for athletes involved in sports. She cited the example of football legend Cristiano Ronaldo, whose pay scale is way above the highest female football players such as Christine Sinclair. Green reportedly got a lot of heat for her comments only by the men, most recently by a fan named Shane Otw Lee.

“Don’t nobody watches women….soccer women don’t even watch sports clown.”

Chelsea Green was not going to let this one go by and fired back at him by posting story on her Instagram.

“Here is a fine example of one of the males in my DM’s right now. Say hi @shane_otw95.”

Chelsea Green’s high profile feud with Mickie James in IMPACT Wrestling was well regarded. The feud showed shades of Mickie’s historic rivalry with Trish Stratus in 2005. Green recently lost a match to Mickie James, which was a part of the latter’s supposed last run in the company, billed as the ‘Last Rodeo.’
