Kevin Owens is one of the most beloved Superstars in all of WWE, thanks to his excellent character work and dedication to the art. He faced off against numerous top stars in WWE, and that includes Roman Reigns. Owens is now determined to battle Reigns again, this time in front of real fans.
The Prizefighter battled Roman Reigns throughout the ThunderDome era in WWE, where they put on bangers every time. Owens last faced Reigns during the 2021 Royal Rumble, where Reigns won in the end. Those matches were great, but they missed the electricity of having real fans present.
While speaking on the After the Bell podcast, Kevin Owens talked about his feud with Roman Reigns. Owens made it clear that he wants a match with Roman Reigns in front of real fans.
“I don’t think much has changed, honestly[since their last match]. I think I was pretty well equipped back then too and it just didn’t work out that way for, you know, a multitude of reasons. I just think there’s unfinished business. I think the story is just not done. I think a lot of people watching would agree. It’s been two years since all that stuff happened. Everything Roman and I put each other through happened in front of empty arenas, you know, during the pandemic.
I would love to be able to get that, recapture that and see what happens when it’s in front of a sold-out arena or sold-out stadium, whatever it may be, and get the feel the energy of a crowd watching what’s unfolding in front of them. I’d love to get to do that one more time for my own benefit, just to be able to hear what we can do with the fans in the stands.”
We will have to wait and see whether Kevin Owens will get a chance to square off against The Tribal Chief in the future or not. It appears that the writing is on the wall for that to take place, possibly at the Royal Rumble. Fans would love to see Owens dethrone Reigns once and for all, but a fierce showdown in front of live fans will still be great to see.
