Kevin Owens is certainly one of the top Superstars in WWE and has continuously improved himself in various ways over the years. The Prizefighter is always ready to fight and did exactly that during Survivor Series WarGames. He also paid tribute to Dusty Rhodes but made sure to get Cody’s permission beforehand.
The Prizefighter took part in the WarGames match at Survivor Series, where he teamed up with The Brawling Brutes and Drew McIntyre and faced off against The Bloodline.
Owens also paid tribute to Dusty Rhodes with his attire. While speaking on After The Bell, Kevin Owens talked about his tribute to the late great Dusty Rhodes by wearing his iconic red elbow pad and t-shirt. Owens revealed that he got Cody Rhodes’ permission for the tribute.
“To be part of the first one on the main roster, I took the opportunity to wear Dusty’s shirt and the red elbow pad as a tribute to him. I talked to Cody beforehand, made sure he was cool with it and everything. It’s just always neat to be able to tie back to history and give Dusty a little nod. I try to do that as much as I can.”
Owens ultimately lost the match after Sami Zayn chose The Bloodline over him. Owens also wants a match against Roman Reigns in front of real fans. We’ll have to see what WWE has in store for Owens next.
