WWE Has Not Yet Asked Booker T To Wrestle For Them

Booker T is one of the few guys who made a successful transition from WCW to WWE. He reached the pinnacle of his career when he won the World Heavyweight Championship in 2006 as King Booker. Although he never won the World Championship again, his first and only reign as World Champion is still remembered by fans to this day. Naturally, WWE fans would love to see him again, but the company hasn’t asked.

Booker T was inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame in 2013. Since then, he has enjoyed various backstage roles within the company. Booker T currently serves as the color commentator for NXT. Considering that Booker T isn’t fully retired from the ring, there are always rumors swirling regarding his return to the ring.

Rumors regarding a WWE in-ring return started doing the rounds recently when he announced his in-ring return on December 18th. However Fightful Select is reporting that although Booker T has wrestled recently, WWE has not asked him to wrestle for them. Fightful mentioned that they weren’t informed of any inquiries about it either.

Although WWE hasn’t talked about Booker returning to action for them, that doesn’t mean that it won’t happen. Plans always change on the fly in the WWE and only time will tell if Booker will get one more match with the company.
