Raquel Rodriguez was one of the highlights of NXT television, where she even became the NXT Women’s Champion. She was eventually called up to the main roster on Friday Night SmackDown. Rodriguez recently sustained an injury that will keep her out of action for several weeks.
According to WWE, Raquel Rodriguez will be out of in-ring action for 4-6 weeks. During Friday’s Survivor Series’ go-home episode of SmackDown Rodriguez was attacked backstage by Ronda Rousey and Shayna Baszler just before she was about to link up with Shotzi to defend herself from her assailants.
Shotzi later appeared for a backstage interview. She revealed that Rodriguez sustained a broken arm and a dislocated elbow. Rodriguez’s injury got aggravated during the tag bout.
At Survivor Series, Rousey defeated Shotzi to win the match again. Rodriguez was not at ringside because, as Michael Cole pointed out, she had not received medical clearance to be there. Instead, Rodriguez came backstage while sporting a brace on her arm.
Additionally, it was disclosed that Rodriguez would be sidelined for 4-6 weeks. Raquel’s injuries are not yet known in detail, but we will keep you informed. As of the time of writing, she has made no public statement about her condition.
