Mandy Rose has seen a considerable amount of growth over the past couple of years in WWE. While she is a top star in the company right now, Rose had very humble beginnings as part of Tough Enough. In fact, even Chris Jericho helped out Mandy Rose in a huge way.
The final season of WWE Tough Enough in 2015 featured Mandy Rose, who finished second in the competition, and received a contract right after the contest ended.
While on Insight with Chris Van Vliet, the NXT Women’s Champion recalled Chris Jericho telling her to turn up her bad girl gimmick, as Jericho felt Rose had the knack for it.
“But then, like, you know, people pulling me aside, you know, like Lita and Chris Jericho and telling me, like, ‘Listen, you’re in a reality show. You could probably play a good b*****. You reallly should do that.’ And I’m like, ‘Oh, really?’ That’s when I started to kind of show that and really started getting notoriety, and people actually started talking about me.”
Mandy Rose also doubled down on Nikki Bella tribute not being on purpose. We will have to wait and see how Mandy Rose will continue to be booked as the NXT Women’s Champion in the coming weeks.
