Baron Corbin has been part of the WWE family for ten years now, and he has consistently been excellent at any role he was given. He continues to be a deplorable heel and recently had some scathing words for Kevin Owens.
Corbin eventually changed into Happy Corbin and became one of the most hated characters in WWE. He then took a hiatus from WWE television and came back as Baron Corbin, this time alongside JBL.
He has defeated Johnny Gargano, Cedric Alexander and Akira Tozawa in recent weeks. While speaking on After the Bell with Corey Graves, Baron Corbin stated that wrestlers like Kevin Owens and Johnny Gargano poison the pro wrestling business.
“More competition, higher level athletes — I want to see the 1%
I don’t want to see these so-called fans who get in the business, get on television, and get in our rings. I think that has poisoned what we do. When you started letting fans in our ring, it poisoned the sanctity of what we do. I mean, when you talk about a Johnny Gargano, you talk about a Kevin Owens, all these guys, all they ever wanted to do since day one was be a WWE Superstar because they’re the biggest fans in the world. It’s not about who’s the biggest fan, it’s about who’s the best competitor.”
It remains to be seen what Triple H has in store for the newfound alliance between JBL and Baron Corbin. For the time being. WWE might have found gold with the pair.
