Saraya is the latest addition to the list of superstars to make a miraculous comeback to the squared circle. She recently got medical clearance and competed in a match, her first in over five years, at AEW Full Gear. The former Anti-Diva now hopes to get her family members a chance to compete in AEW when the company arrives in England in 2023.

Saraya, formerly known as Paige, made her debut in WWE back in 2012 in their developmental territory, NXT. She rose up the ranks to become a pioneer for the movement that came to be known as the Women’s Revolution. However, her wrestling career was cut short in 2018 when she announced her retirement due to spinal stenosis.

The former 3-time Divas champion continued to serve in non-wrestling roles for the WWE till 2022 when she announced her departure from the company in July 2022. Saraya made her debut for AEW in September under her real name and was immediately involved in a feud with Dr. Britt Baker D.M.D.

Saraya’s tenure in AEW saw her getting physical in the ring in a long time. She announced her medical clearance on the November 9 episode of Dynamite and stepped back inside the ring at AEW Full Gear. Now, the former Paige desires to have her family compete in Tony Khan’s promotion. Saraya is hoping to get her brother, Zak Knight and other family members a wrestling match at AEW Dark when the company heads to London in 2023. She spoke about this on AEW Unrestricted.

“I would love, since I have a family of wrestlers, please, we have to get my brother Zak. Zak has never made it and it’s so frustrating, he’s tried so hard. We need to get him on an AEW Dark show or something like that so we can showcase him. He just did New Japan. People loved him, they’re bringing him back again. He got such a great reaction when he walked out. People didn’t know who he was at first and then they said ‘Zak Zodiac’ and everyone was like ‘YESSS!’ It gave me chills. I would love for my brother to eventually be in AEW and my nephew, Ricky Knight Jr, my nephew Patrick. A whole family thing. Going over to the UK, I’m like, ‘Yes, I will plug them and try to get them on the Dark show,'”

Saraya competed in a match for the first time since her bout at a WWE house show in December 2017 where she suffered her career-ending injury. She faced Dr. Britt Baker D.M.D. at AEW Full Gear this past week and came out victorious with her brother, Zak in attendance to watch his sister perform in her comeback match.
