Brock Lesnar is certainly one of the most decorated pro wrestlers in the history of the industry. Lesnar commands a lot of pull backstage, and it is not hard to see why. Lesnar also doesn’t want to work with just everyone in WWE, and that seems to include Kevin Owens for some reason.
In 2017, Brock Lesnar defeated Goldberg at WrestleMania 33 to become the Universal Champion. However, Kevin Owens never got a rematch for the Universal title, which he lost to Goldberg at Fastlane that year. This stopped Owens’ momentum and moved Goldberg into WrestleMania as champion to face Brock Lesnar.
Brock Lesnar was supposed to face Jinder Mahal in a Champion vs. Champion match at Survivor Series 2017, but that didn’t happen either. While speaking on the Oh You Didn’t Know podcast, WWE Hall of Famer Road Dogg revealed that while Lesnar had no issue working with Mahal, he didn’t want to work with Owens.
“I really want to clarify, it isn’t that he had no intention of wanting to work with Jinder. It’s that he really thought he could have a better match with AJ. So, I just wanted that to be clear. Look, I don’t think I’ve ever heard of Brock saying I’m not working with that guy. Well, I did, I did hear that with Kevin Owens, but only him.”
It is also believed that Brock Lesnar and Bobby Lashley’s feud will continue till WrestleMania 39. We will have to wait and see what WWE has next in store for The Beast Incarnate.
