The Four Horsewomen of WWE is comprised Charlotte Flair, Sasha Banks, Becky Lynch and Bayley. On the other hand, the Four Horsewomen of MMA consists of Marina Shafir, Jessamyn Duke Ronda Rousey and Shayna Baszler. For a long time, fans wondered if the two factions would ever face each other, but it never happened, and for a sad reason.

When Marina Shafir and Jessamyn Duke made their way to WWE, fans firmly believed that a match between the two groups would finally become a reality. However, it never happened as Rousey left WWE after WrestleMania 35 in 2019.

Rousey came back to WWE this year, but Shafir and Duke were out of WWE by then. While speaking to Renee Paquette on The Sessions, Maria Shafir talked about why the match never happened. She blamed egos getting in the way as the reason.

“Hey, egos were at play. There’s too many f*cking cooks in the kitchen sometimes. In more ways than one.

“I feel like, I never knew this, but I just feel like professional wrestling was a little more exclusive back in the day. It wasn’t just about politicking, it was about really showing respect, not kissing ass or feeling like you have to give something up of yourself to take it to the next level.”

Baszler and Rousey remain with WWE, while Shafir and Duke are out of the company. We wonder whether the match between the two groups will end up happening somewhere down the line or not. Right now, that would require some people to switch companies to all wind up in the same place once again.
