Dean Ambrose was a toned-down version of Jon Moxley in WWE. The real-life Jonathan David Good got his violent self back after he left the Stamford-based promotion in 2019. AEW allowed Mox to embrace his pre-WWE identity, but some of that didn’t sit well with his wife Renee Paquette.
Renee Paquette was a guest on a recent episode of Busted Open Radio, where she discussed some of Moxley’s in-ring antics. The AEW interviewer is grossed out by her husband licking the blood of his opponents and wants him to stop doing that.
“There’s two sides to this because I get asked about that a lot. About what it’s like being married to Jon and the things that we all see him put his body through, what he puts other people’s bodies through. Yeah, certainly there’s times where I’m like, ‘Oh my God.’ Like, I am preparing the text to send to him for when he walks back to the locker room after the match of just like, ‘Please, stop licking people’s blood.’ Like, the stuff on the outside on the apron. Some of these things I wanna get up his a** about.”
Moxley’s last AEW appearance saw him drop the world title to MJF at the Full Gear pay-per-view event on Saturday, November 19th. Mox achieved an incredible milestone that night as he surpassed Kenny Omega’s record of longest combined days reign as AEW World Champion.
