WWE will hold their annual Royal Rumble in San Antonio’s Alamodome on January 28th. The show is already a hit among fans by the looks of it because the 2023 event is likely to break a huge record. In fact, the event has already broken some huge records.
The Royal Rumble premium live event next year will be the first annual pay-per-view under the Triple H regime after he became the head of WWE Creative earlier this year. Naturally, fans are very excited about it already.
According to PW Insider, the upcoming Royal Rumble has broken the company’s record for largest gate in the event’s 36-year history.

Over the weekend, Royal Rumble surpassed the $5M mark and previous record holder from 2017 – the last time the event was held at San Antonio’s AlamoDome.
This carries a 2022 trend into 2023 where WWE set gate records for many of its events, including WrestleMania, Extreme Rules and Crown Jewel
The Royal Rumble event next year will be one of the biggest events in many years. Fans are very excited about the event and we’ll have to wait and see whether it will end up living up to the hype or not.
