Anthony Bowens is proving himself to be a major prospect as a member of The Acclaimed alongside Max Caster. However, he continues to sell his supposed injury suffered last week, and it looks like he will still show up for AEW Full Gear.
The one half of the AEW World Tag Team champions reportedly suffered a shoulder injury during last week’s AEW Dynamite. He was recently spotted wearing a sling during his trip to Rolling Stone Magazine.
According to Fightful’s paywall, Bowens is still advertised for his match at Full Gear, and the contest is still on the lineup. That being said, he continues selling his shoulder.
“Anthony Bowens has continued to sell his injuries all the way through today. We haven’t heard any change to his status for tonight, and he’s still slated for the match.”
The Acclaimed (Anthony Bowens and Max Caster) are scheduled to defend their AEW World Tag Team titles against Swerve in our Glory ( Swerve Strickland and Keith Lee) in a highly anticipated rematch from AEW Grand Slam. It is yet to be seen whether Bowens injury angle could play a decisive factor in the outcome of the match.
Anthony Bowens was signed by Tony Khan’s promotion in 2020 to a five year contract along with his tag team partner Max Caster. In just two years with the company, the duo managed to win the AEW World Tag Team Championships at AEW Grand Slam 2022 defeating Swerve in Our Glory (Keith Lee and Swerve Strickland).
