The Undertaker will forever be regarded as a legend in the world of professional wrestling. His passion for the business is never under doubt and that rings true after what transpired during the Montreal Screwjob. In fact, he allegedly threw a chair backstage in anger after the incident.
The Montreal Screwjob remains one of the most controversial incidents in pro wrestling history, as it is still talked about to this very day. This is largely due to everything that transpired backstage after the incident.
While speaking on The Wrestling Outlaws, Vince Russo talked about the Montreal Screwjob. Russo claimed that The Undertaker threw a chair backstage in pure anger after the incident.
“The scariest thing for me, bro, was Taker sitting next to me. And when I watched that, and it then registered, holy sh*t, that’s kind of what I suggested, and then I saw how hot Taker was. He picked up the chair he was sitting on and threw it across the room. So, I was like ‘Holy sh*t’. It was a situation you just didn’t know what was gonna happen.”
The Undertaker even thought about leaving WWE for WCW at one point in time. The Montreal Screwjob changed the course of pro wrestling and its impact is unlikely to change anytime soon.
