Undertaker is one of WWE’s most legendary wrestlers famous for his menacing vibe and his previously undefeated WrestleMania Streak. Recently an account of the Undertaker being infuriated with a former WWE rival has surfaced.
Two of Undertaker’s bosom buddies in WWE divulged the sentiments he held towards former foe Viscera. Henry O. Godwinn and Mideon were part of The Phenom’s famous backstage group Bone Street Krew (BSK) during the 90s
It was during the 1996 Royal Rumble match that Viscera’s (formerly known as King Mabel) botched moves got him into trouble with the Deadman. In an interview with Monte & The Pharaoh, Mideon looked back on how the WWE Hall of Famer had enough of the 487 pounder’s frequent botched moves.
“I go to the Royal Rumble and the very first thing I see is Viscera dropped on him [Henry O. Godwinn] and hurt him. I walk in the locker room and Undertaker is just ripping him apart because he broke ‘Taker’s orbital socket, he hurt Kevin Nash’s back, he just hurt him [Henry O. Godwinn]. That’s his thing whenever he wants people to take him seriously, like with Stone Cold and Shawn [Michaels], taping the fists up.”
Several months earlier, Viscera injured The Undertaker’s eye socket during a match after mistiming a clothesline. The former WWE Champion wore a Phantom of the Opera-style mask upon his return.
It was just a few months ago from the 1996 Royal Rumble that Viscera hit a botched clothesline on the Deadman, injuring his eye socket in the process. The Undertaker wore a Phantom of the Opera-style mask when he made his return to the ring.
Henry O. Godwinn claimed that The Deadman’s backstage threat had legitimately drained the colour from the enormous superstar’s face. Viscera received the boot a week later. Godwinn continued:
“Scared, scared sh*tless, and they let him go the next week,”
That wasn’t Viscera’s Last Ride with the company, though, as he had stints in the WWE again between 1998 and 2000 and 2004 to 2008. He even went on to serve under The Deadman as part of The Ministry of Darkness faction in 1999. As for Undertaker, he was inducted into the Class of 2022, Hall of Fame this year.
