Triple H Almost Got Chris Jericho Fired Due To Heat With Chyna

Triple H is certainly a veteran in the pro wrestling world and is one of the most important figures in the company’s history, being one of the mainstays of the Attitude Era. His career spanned several World Title reigns and memorable moments throughout the years. In fact, Triple H almost got Chris Jericho fired from WWE in the past.

Triple H is also infamous for burying fellow pro wrestlers and there are multiple instances of that taking place, even as early as his DX days. On top of that, he also had issues with Superstars such as Chris Jericho.

Triple H and Chris Jericho had legitimate issues with each other backstage in WWE during the late 1990s and early 2000s. While speaking at his Jericho Chronicles Q & A session, Jericho claimed that Triple H almost got him fired from WWE due to his issues with Chyna.

“I almost got fired about a month in, I got called into a meeting with Vince, JR, and Blackjack Lanza and Vince said ‘The problem with you is the drizzling sh*ts. You’re not worth the paper your contract is printed on. You’re green as grass.’ I was like ‘Lighten up dude.’ There was a lot of heat, shall we say.”

Chris Jericho and Triple H squared off against one another on various occasions between 2000 and 2002, including their bout at WrestleMania 18. The two are certainly on much better terms now as they have mutual respect for each other and that’s what matters in the end.
