Paul Wight used to be known as the Big Show in WWE. He spent over two decades in the company before he decided to take his skills elsewhere. Wight eventually made his way to AEW, much to the surprise of the pro wrestling world.

Despite his successful career in WWE, Big Show was often made a joke due to Vince McMahon turning him into a heel or babyface randomly at the drop of a hat.

While speaking on the Grilling JR podcast, WWE Hall Of Famer Jim Ross talked about The Big Show’s career in WWE. Ross stated that he believes The Big Show is the worst-booked WWE Superstar ever.

“You can’t overexpose an attraction because guess what? They cease being an attraction. They’re not new, they’re not fresh, they’re not different, they’re not eye-opening (…) I just think that Big Show was one of the most ill-booked talents, on that level, that we ever had.”

Even Paul Wight admitted that he didn’t like flip-flopping his character in WWE. Wight is more than happy working in AEW thanks to the creative environment provided there and he wouldn’t have it any other way.
