Charlotte Flair took a break from WWE after the WrestleMania Backlash premium live event to marry Andrade El Idolo. The Queen is still keeping quiet about her WWE return, and even Ric Flair doesn’t know when she’ll be back.
Ric Flair discussed the rumors regarding Charlotte Flair’s comeback during a recent episode of “To Be The Man” podcast. The multi-time WWE Hall of Famer claimed he had no clue about her daughter’s plans because she didn’t trust him enough to tell him about her professional career.
“To be very honest, I have no idea. She keeps everything to herself. I know she’s talking to the company, but I don’t know any more than that. If I did, I couldn’t tell you anyway. She doesn’t trust me to tell me anything because I can’t keep my mouth shut.”
The 16-time world champion elaborated on his previous comments about a potential WrestleMania matchup between Charlotte and current Raw Women’s Champion Bianca Belair, noting the story could write itself.
“She is probably in the best shape of her life. I think it’s probably a mutual decision between her and the company as to when she comes back. I would assume under the perfect circumstance. She’s the best wrestler, but she’s the greatest female wrestler of all time. Like I said before, to have two legit world class athletes, you could write the story itself. NCAA track star. Strength, coordination, athleticism, Bianca Belair, Charlotte Flair. It’s a main event in itself…In my opinion, that’s the match.”
Charlotte recently pulled out of a scheduled WWE autograph signing. Fans are certainly looking forward to her comeback, but it appears that won’t happen anytime soon.
