Pro wrestling fans have often discussed which makes more money: professional wrestling or sports entertainment. Many big names weighed in to share their thoughts, causing quite a stir. Mark Henry has now come forward to give his opinion after Road Dogg shared his take on being a better sports entertainer than Bret Hart.
Mark Henry appeared on Busted Open Radio and was asked for his opinions. Dave LeGreca asked him that, “Mark, when you hear a discussion about pro wrestling versus sports entertainment, the bout between the two, where is the real money in? like what’s your opinion on this discussion?”
The World’s Strongest Man replied to say that he believes the real money is performers, and he did hear what both sides said between Road Dogg and Bret Hart.
I think the real money is in the performer. You know, I heard…the beginning of the show…it’s a longer discussion and a longer answer as it relates to Bret Hart and what Road Dogg said.
Henry went on to add that Austin Theory makes it easy. He stated that he was not bothered by Austin Theory’s decision to cash in the money. Henry expressed his disappointment that Austin did not cash in money from the bank contract in NXT.
But the thing is easier with Austin Theory. I was not upset about Austin Theory cash-in in the money in the bank briefcase. I was upset at the fact that it wouldn’t the NXT championship because there was more of a him to go back to NXt and being the NXT champion which could lead to a springboard to the WWE championship.
As Ringside News exclusively reported, Austin Theory’s situation in WWE is better off now than when Vince McMahon was in control. He is now in the US Title picture, and he was able to drop the Money in the Bank briefcase, something that wasn’t doing him any favors.
You can hear more of what he had to say about it here. Let’s see whether Austin Theory reacts to what Henry said. To get the latest updates, keep an eye on Ringside News.
