Saraya is all set to make her comeback inside the squared circle. The Anti Diva has challenged Dr Britt Baker to her first match since retiring to the ring. However, things were not as planned as they seem when Saraya, formerly known as Paige in WWE, came to the land of All Elite.

Saraya set foot in her new house at AEW Grand Slam in Queens, New York. Right after her debut, the former Paige engaged in a heated rivalry with Dr Britt Baker. This led to Saraya engaging in a physical altercation with Baker for the first time inside a wrestling ring in a long time.

Saraya went on to challenge the former AEW Women’s World Champion for her first AEW match at their next pay-per-view Full Gear. However, the Women’s Revolution pioneer has revealed that AEW did not have an actual plan for the 3-time Divas Champion when she was first signed to the company. Saraya spoke about it in-depth on The Sessions with Renee Paquette.

“I looked at social media and people just f*cking buried me! I didn’t know what the f*ck I was gonna say. There was no plan for these promos. Like what is the plan? I don’t know.”

The Anti Diva also spoke about her move to AEW after her deal with the WWE fell through, and she was released from her contract, effective on July 2022.

“I was speaking to WWE, and I was just like Hun (Triple H) you know … he was confused why I just left WWE, and I was like no I’m not like that, but he was out because he had the heart issues and stuff like that….he didn’t just know …. he’s just really sweet … he’s just fantastic, and I was like … I remember telling you I can go back there, and he was going to make my schedule easier, and I felt I can really do that …. the thing that swayed me was you know AEW is a new fresh company you know, and I am like probably benefit from it …. Tony just offered me so much freedom.”

Paige last wrestled at a WWE live event in a six-woman tag team match. It was then that she took a kick from Sasha Banks and was not able to continue the match, causing the referee to stop the contest. Interestingly enough, Banks was the first person Saraya texted after receiving her medical clearance.

Saraya decided to retire from the in-ring competition in 2018. Full Gear will mark the first time in 4 years that Saraya will wrestle in the ring.
