GUNTHER Addresses Rumors Of WrestleMania 39 Match Against John Cena

GUNTHER had an awe-inspiring run in NXT UK as he became the longest-reigning champion in modern WWE by holding the NXT UK Title for a record 870 days. He dropped the title to Ilja Dragunov at NXT TakeOver 36. He was called up to the main roster and is currently on a very dominant run as the Intercontinental Champion. In fact, he even addressed a rumor about him facing John Cena at WrestleMania 38.

As previously reported, John Cena has already spoken to WWE higher-ups regarding an appearance at WrestleMania 39. Not only that, but Vince McMahon even gave John Cena his blessing to do whatever he can after his retirement.

There have been rumors that Cena is likely to square off against GUNTHER at WrestleMania 39. While speaking on Steve Fall’s Ten Count YouTube channel, GUNTHER addressed rumors that she’ll face John Cena at WrestleMania 39.

“Of course, we could see it. I don’t know what’s going to happen or if it’s going to happen. Obviously, that’s something I would love to do. John Cena is one of the legends. Because he’s not really active at the moment anymore, he just pops up, but when he does, if the chance is there for me, I’ll gladly take it. One of, if not the most popular babyface in this sport of all time. I think I would be a great counterpart to that. I would love to do it.”

We will have to wait and see whether John Cena will end up competing at WrestleMania 39 or not. It is likely that will happen in the end.
