AEW has been called out a few times for resembling WCW. Now, it seems that one of their many factions is accused of ripping off one of WCW’s biggest stables.

Glenn Gilbertti, also known by his ring name Disco Inferno, has firm belief that All Elite Wrestling is pushing an upcoming young faction like the legendary team nWo. Gilbertti was referring to The Firm, fronted by Stokely Hathaway.

The group is aided MJF, who made his much awaited return to AEW at All Out pay-per-view on September 4th as he won the Casino Ladder match. Freidman grabbed the chip with the help of the upstart stable, who are looking to make their presence felt in the All Elite landscape. The stable consists of W. Morrissey, Lee Moriarty, Ethan Page, Austin Gunn and Colten Gunn.

The Firm, however, turned on MJF attacking the Devil with Morrissey delivering a chokeslam Friedman through a table. Disco Inferno spoke about AEW giving a huge chunk of television time to The Firm, mirroring the nWo’s massive push back in WCW. Inferno spoke about the faction being very flat on his Keepin’ it 100 podcast.

The faction [The Firm] is very flat and they’re [AEW] pushing them like they’re nWo,”

The faction led by Stokely Hathaway is said to be a stable carved out of random wrestlers put together without a clear direction and over pushed before realizing their potential. We will have to see what is next for them, but they have Disco Inferno’s attention.
