AEW President Tony Khan has a lot of passion for professional wrestling, which is not really something new. However, he has a penchant for doing a lot of irresponsible things. Some fans have always wondered if John Cena would go to AEW as well. Jim Cornette has a very interesting take on what would happen if Khan signed Cena.

The AEW roster is full of many highly talented and accomplished pro wrestlers from all over the world. However, the roster is clearly bloated now and not everyone can get enough spotlight.

While speaking on Jim Cornette’s Drive-Thru, former WWE manager Jim Cornette talked about Tony Khan constantly singing new talent. Cornette then stated that he believes Khan would sign Cena just to put him in a dark match.

“I swear to God right now, if he had the opportunity to sign John Cena, Tony Khan I’m talking about and he already had Wednesday night’s TV written, he would sign John Cena and put him in a f**king dark match on YouTube because he just didn’t have room.”

As for John Cena, he is likely to be engaged in a program with Austin Theory ahead of WrestleMania 39 next year, but that still depends on his schedule. We will have to wait and see what Cena will do next.
