Austin Theory eventually found himself on the main roster as Vince McMahon’s protégée. While he had a solid start on the main roster, it all changed after Vince McMahon retired, which led to Theory falling down the pecking order and constantly being on the receiving end of losses. It is no surprise that WWE was also blasted for how they have booked Theory for the past couple of months.
Theory has been on a streak of bad luck as of late. He was on a huge losing streak, despite picking up the Money in the Bank briefcase along the way. However, he lost to Seth Rollins on this week’s episode of Monday Night RAW.
While speaking on Legion of RAW, former WWE writer Vince Russo blasted WWE for making Austin Theory mean nothing. As he spoke to Dr. Chris Featherstone, Russo let it all out.
You’re beating the guy continuously that has the Money in the Bank case. Chris, what is the point of having the case, then? That is supposed to be a threat that when that guy cashes in the case, it’s game over. But when you’re losing every single week, I don’t get it, Chris; I don’t understand it.
Well, I think it’s safe to say, and Chris, if you disagree with me, please disagree with me; Theory means nothing right now. I mean, absolutely zero. Nothing!”
WWE also plans to make Austin Theory wait to cash in his Money In The Bank briefcase. We’ll have to wait and see what will happen to Theory in the end. If anything, at least he is still getting television time, which isn’t a terrible sign.
