Dana Brooke has been working in WWE for several years now and has largely been involved in mid-card feuds during her time. Throughout her ups and downs, she has always received fan support. Brooke recently said that she would like to transition WWE 24/7 Title to Women’s Intercontinental Title.
The current WWE 24/7 Champion has been a factor in the 24/7 Title race for almost a year. The title used to frequently appear on WWE RAW and in social media videos. However, it’s now rarely seen throughout the WWE universe.
The WWE 24/7 Title is defended at house shows, and even changes hands from time to time, but records are not kept. Brooke recently appeared for an interview with Steve Fall of NBC Sports Boston. She announced she wanted to make the 24/7 Title a supplementary belt for the women’s division.
I’ve been wanting to transition the 24/7 Title into an IC title. I think it would be amazing. We’re building a roster, we have amazing women on the roster. With everyone coming back, why not? We have the tag team titles, but not everyone is teamed up. You have the storylines that are going for the women’s titles, but the rest are just little stories in the mix. Why not go for an IC Title? This way, it’s not secondary, it’s just another thing to pour your heart and soul in and have that title and be given that opportunity and enhance the women’s division.
In a recent statement, Bayley suggested that if ladies want a women’s WWE Intercontinental Championship, they may have to compete for it. Check out her complete interview below.
