Crown Jewel 2022 will take place in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, at Mrsool Park on November 5th. This is the final pay-per-view for WWE’s main roster in 2022. The event is already controversial, but now Iran recently issued warning of ‘imminent attack’ to Saudi Arabia ahead of WWE Crown Jewel.
According to the Wall Street Journal, Saudi Arabia informed the US of their knowledge regarding an impending Iranian attack. According to the article, the attacks are intended for “targets in the kingdom.”
The United States, Saudi Arabia, and “several other neighboring states have raised the level of alert for their military forces.” as a result of the warning. A National Security Council spokesperson addressed the warning of “imminent attack.”
We are concerned about the threat picture, and we remain in constant contact through military and intelligence channels with the Saudis. We will not hesitate to act in the defense of our interests and partners in the region.
This relates to professional wrestling because WWE Superstars and staff are expected to travel to Saudi Arabia this week for Crown Jewel, which will be broadcast live on Peacock this Saturday in Riyadh. It looks that nothing has changed regarding the show’s planning on WWE’s end.
WWE just announced that Alexa Bliss and Asuka will defend the Women’s Tag Team Titles against IYO SKY and Dakota Kai. Roman Reigns will defend the Undisputed WWE Universal Championship against Logan Paul in the main event of the program.
Hopefully, the Crown Jewel event can go down without any issues. Stay tuned to Ringside News to get the latest updates on this developing situation.
