AEW President Tony Khan has a lot of passion for professional wrestling, and no one doubts that whatsoever. However, his reputation has taken a hit over the past year or so. He continues to get dragged even now.
Things have not been going well for AEW for the past couple of months. The chaos that ensued after AEW All Out remains fresh in the minds of fans and pro wrestlers alike.
While speaking on The Masked Man Show, MLW owner Court Bauer talked about how Tony Khan has handled AEW’s problems as of late. He questioned Khan’s leadership skills.
“You have leadership that ‘If you do X, Y is going to happen.”Sometimes it’s a little grayer,” Bauer stated. “So I think this is one of those moments where the locker room’s gonna learn ‘What are the consequences if we do this? Are there consequences?’ and now the onus is on Tony Khan to determine how he wants to dictate his leadership role. How does he want the boys and girls to look at him?”
The AEW roster is also still banned from talking about the incident. It’s not clear when CM Punk will return to AEW television, but fans hope it is sooner rather than later.
