Dwayne Johnson is one of the biggest stars in pro wrestling history who has successfully transitioned from his career in the arena to acting. The Rock has proven over the years that he is skilled in business and other endeavors as well.
In 2021, Rock launched ZOA Energy, a new beverage in the shape of an energy drink. The energy drink contains no artificial ingredients and is made from natural ingredients. In the food market, the WWE Superstar has also partnered with the ice cream brand Salt & Straw. Teremana Tequila, a new Tequila line introduced by The People’s Champion in 2020, sold over 300,000 nine-liter bottles within its first six months.
Dwayne Johnson also teamed up with Under Armour in 2016 to launch a new range of items named Project Rock. The brand became an immediate success and was even chosen as the official footwear partner of the UFC.
The Rock also secretly invested in Acorns in 2020, a financial services company that focuses on helping parents who wish to save money for their children’s future. The XFL was purchased by Dwayne, Dany Garcia, and Redbird Capital for $15 million in the same year.
Last but not least, The Rock and his business associate and ex-wife Dany Garcia established Seven Bucks Productions. Rampage, Red Notice, Fast and Furious Presents: Hobbs and Shaw, Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle, and most recently Black Adam are just a few of the productions put out by this company.
It wouldn’t be surprising if The Rock chose to enter the business side of wrestling given his achievements in acting, wrestling, and other endeavors. Johnson even admitted during an interview with BNN Bloomberg that he had considered investing with Nick Khan. However, Johnson added that he is sure that he will hold a board seat.
