The Good Brothers recently returned to WWE. While all seemed good, there was just one problem. Karl Anderson is still the NJPW NEVER Openweight Champion when he showed up on RAW. Moreover, he is still booked to defend the title at NJPW Battle Autumn.
However, WWE is planning a match for Karl Anderson to take place at WWE Crown Jewel. The only problem with this is both events are set to take place on November 5th. This means that he will have to wrestle two shows in two different countries on the same day.
It sounds impossible for someone to be in two places at the same time. Karl Anderson, however, said that he will be wrestling at Crown Jewel instead of Battle Autumn. Hence, NJPW issued an ultimatum to Karl Anderson and asked him either show up to Battle Autumn or hand over the belt.
Amidst all the chaos, Matt Cardona recently took to Twitter to volunteer himself to take Karl Anderson’s place as NJPW NEVER Openweight Champion.
“I’ll take his spot. I need another title anyway. Let me know,” tweeted Matt Cardona.
Matt Cardona, who used to wrestle under the name Zack Ryder in WWE, was released from the company in 2020. Since his release, he was worked hard in the independent circuit. Currently, he is working with Impact Wrestling and NWA and holds champions in several other independent promotions.
