Miro used to work under the name of Rusev when he was in WWE. During his time in the company, Miro simply did not have a good time there all the way to his release as well.
Following his WWE release a couple of years ago, Miro debuted in AEW during the September 9th, 2020, episode of Dynamite as Kip Sabian’s Best Man. After a shaky start, Miro eventually became The Redeemer and won the TNT Championship before losing it to Sammy Guevara.
Miro hasn’t been seen since All Out, and he hasn’t wrestled on Dynamite for a few months. While speaking on Busted Open, CJ Perry believed that Tony Khan had a vision despite Miro not being featured on television much. She also hinted that Miro is missing out because Tony Khan only pushes his favorites in AEW.
“At the end of the day, you still have the execs whose gonna make that final call and that’s what it is. Like Tony Khan has… he has his favorites and he’s gonna push the favorites, just like Vince [McMahon] will push his favorites, just like Hunter’s [Triple H] gonna push his people and in showbusiness, it’s nothing personal, it’s just what it is.”
We will have to wait and see what AEW has planned for Miro and whether he will eventually be part of the AEW World Title picture or not.
Do you think Tony Khan is keeping Miro off television for selfish reasons? Sound off in the comments!
