The Rock was a third generation wrestler when he made his WWE debut at the Survivor Series pay-per-view way back in 1996. Tonight, a fourth generation wrestler made her NXT debut and she happens to have direct connection with The Great One.
The Rock’s daughter Ava Raine made her NXT debut tonight. The 20-year-old took off her mask to reveal herself as the fourth member of Joe Gacy’s cult, Schism. Ava Raine cut a promo before embracing the other three members of the group. She took to Twitter after the show and reacted to her debut.
i’ve found my family ✌🏽🙂
Ava Raine (whose real name is Simone Johnson) trained at the Performance Center prior to her debut. She appeared during an NXT live event in July to cut a heel promo on Cora Jade and Roxanne Perez. WWE took a different route with her character by making her debut as a heel.
Ava Raine’s NXT debut caught many fans by surprise. We’ll have to wait to see what The Rock thinks of his daughter’s NXT debut. Keep checking back at Ringside News for more.
