Nia Jax was one of the top stars in WWE’s women’s division after her 2016 main roster call up. Her time in NXT was decent in comparison, as she never really won any titles, unlike on the main roster.

The controversial star was not seen on WWE television since the September 20th 2021 edition of Monday Night RAW. Eventually, she was released by the company entirely, something that made fans happy.

Now going by her real name, Lina Fanene, the former WWE superstar has kept herself busy in numerous ways. Following an interview with Lana, Fightful reported through their paywall, via an interview with the former Ravishing Russian, that Lana believed her table spots with Nia Jax were a way to get Nia Jax over.

“CJ said not only did she not believe she was being punished for Miro joining AEW in the Nia Jax table storyline, but that she actually pushed for the angle to happen. In fact, she and Liv Morgan went back and forth over who would be the one who got to participate in the angle.

“However, it was originally Vince McMahon’s plan to use the repeated table spots as a catalyst to get Nia Jax over as a babyface before it went the other way.”

Nia Jax also previously refused to acknowledge her run in WWE. She is also unsure about her pro wrestling future. We’ll have to see what’s next in store for her.
