Matt Hardy is a true veteran in the pro wrestling world, having worked in various promotions in his career. He is currently under his Big Money Matt persona in AEW and remains a highlight. Even though Matt Hardy’s career isn’t quite over, he recently spoke on whether he sees himself retiring in AEW or WWE.
In a recent Q&A segment for The Extreme Life of Matt Hardy, Hardy discussed his plans for the future of his career. He revealed that he sees himself retiring with AEW. Hardy expressed that he loves being there in AEW.
Hardy gave huge props to Tony for being really good with working with people, and remembering they’re human beings. Tony acknowledges that people have families. He allows wrestlers to take time off and address issues that there may be.
I don’t know. In all honesty, I can see myself retiring with AEW. I love being here, love the family feel that it has, and I love, just the the lack of horsest and bullst, you know. It’s pretty much straightforward. And Tony is really good with working with people, and remembering they’re human beings. Especially people that have families and like, allowing them to take time off and address issues that there may be. So he he’s great with that, and he works around people’s schedules and whatnot. So I love AEW, and I’m very cool spending the rest of my career at AEW.
With that being said, I love WWE as well. And I think it’s a big positive that Triple H has taken over and has been in charge, and I would imagine it’s gonna continue to change as it evolves over the next few years with him at the helm.
Matt Hardy made his shocking debut in AEW back in March 2020 and immediately started a feud with Chris Jericho and the Inner Circle. Matt Hardy is certainly happy working in AEW and that is unlikely to change anytime soon. We will have to wait and see whether his Broken persona will end up returning or not.
What do you think of Hardy’s decision? Sound off in the comments!
