LA Knight wasted no time in making an impact when he debuted during NXT TakeOver: Vengeance Day on February 14th, 2021. He underwent a huge change after being called up to the main roster, as he was then known as Max Dupri.

Knight debuted as part of the Maximum Male Models agency, with ma.çé and mån.sôör being the first two acquisitions of the agency. Eventually, Maxine Dupri joined the fold as well.

However, he left the group and became LA Knight again. He also defeated Mansoor in a singles match on Smackdown and turned heel on the crowd.

While speaking on Smack Talk, former WWE manager Dutch Mantell talked about LA Knight branching away from the Maximum Male Models. He criticized Knight for being a mid card guy in the company.

“I think he’s like a mid-card guy. I don’t see him going up into the main event, not that big, but he’s a hell of a talker and he would be a hell of a manager. But they don’t want him. I think he wants to actually work and wrestle. So let him do that. But he’s much better in that LA Knight gimmick than he was at Max Dupri.”

We will have to wait and see how LA Knight will be booked in the coming weeks. If anything, he will have the entire WWE Universe looking at him.
