AEW President Tony Khan has a lot of passion for professional wrestling, and no one doubts that whatsoever. However, his reputation has taken a hit over the past year or so. He continues to get dragged even now.
Things have not been going well for AEW for the past couple of months. The chaos that ensued after AEW All Out remains fresh in the minds of fans and pro wrestlers alike.
Andrade El Idolo was also involved in a backstage altercation with Sammy Guevara. He was actually sent home before AEW Dynamite. While speaking on SmackTalk, Dutch Mantell stated that AEW has trouble backstage and they are indisciplined and ripped Tony Khan for the same.
“They have been saying for a long time that AEW has trouble backstage, and even some of them come out and say ‘no no no’, I can see them trying to cover it up. But they do have trouble backstage. Now, what does that tell you about their discipline? They don’t have any at all. No discipline whatsoever.
Now they got rid of Eddie. They suspended him, but at least he got some punishment out of it. But did they suspend him without pay or with pay? Surely they suspended him without pay, because, I mean if you slap somebody and they’re gonna send you home and pay you too? That’s a good gig. Slap somebody every week.”
We will have to wait and see whether Tony Khan will eventually get better at handling various situations such as this and help the company in the end.
