Triple H came to power and made a lot of changes to WWE’s premium live event schedule. The Game decided to scrap the 2023 ‘Day 1’ PLE and replaced it with a live event.
According to PW Insider, the State Farm Arena, which was originally set to host the Day 1 premium live event has removed the event’s listing and replaced it with a house show instead.
The State Farm Arena, which had listed a 1/1/23 PPV event for WWE Day One at the Atlanta, GA arena, has removed that event’s listing and replaced it with a WWE live event instead several days before on Tuesday 12/27.
Wrestlenomics.com had previously reported the 1/1/23 Day One PPV had been canceled.
Tickets for the 12/27 date will go on sale on 10/28 (with a pre-sale a few days before) and is advertised as a Smackdown live event although Bobby Lashley, Matt Riddle, Seth Rollins, AJ Styles and Bianca Belair are also being advertised alongside SD stars Braun Strowman. Drew McIntyre, Rey Mysterio, Liv Morgan and The Usos.
As previously reported, the Day 1 event was cancelled largely due to conflict with football and subsequent cancellations afterwards. Keep reading Ringside News for more.
