WWE Prepared Travel Arrangements For Billy Gunn To Attend DX Reunion

DX celebrated their big 25th reunion on RAW, but they were missing one member of the New Age Outlaws. Billy Gunn couldn’t be there, but it turns out he was very close to making that trip.

According to Sean Sapp behind Fightful’s paywall, WWE went as far as getting travel arrangements made under Billy Gunn’s name. They also considered putting an AEW logo somewhere on screen during the segment.

WWE had went as far as to prepare travel in Billy Gunn’s name, thinking that it was a real possibility. One of the possible solutions we’re told was a lower third graphic with an AEW logo, but WWE didn’t seem too keen on making that a reality.

We’ll have to see if Billy Gunn ever makes his way back to WWE for any reason. It certainly appears that he has friends in the right places right now, so nothing is out of the question.
