Chris Jericho has been one of the founding fathers of AEW. He was there when the promotion was first announced to the world in 2019. Since then, Chris Jericho has played an instrumental role in AEW’s success. He was the first ever AEW World Champion and was the leader of the Inner Circle.
Le Champion wrestled the biggest stars in the company and put on some of the best matches of his career. Hence, it should come as no surprise that Chris Jericho re-signed with AEW.
The new deal will see him spend another three more years with the company until the end of 2025. As part of the deal, Chris Jericho will take on more responsibilities within the company and serve as a producer and creative advisor, as well as continuing to mentor young talent.
According to the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, there were some in WWE who expected Chris Jericho to return to WWE once his AEW contract expired to enjoy one last run before being inducted into the Hall of Famer. Chris Jericho apparently has a good relationship with Vince McMahon. However, Vince McMahon is no longer running the show.
As of now it isn’t clear how much he is earning. But his previous deal saw him take home $3 million a year. He must’ve likely gotten a raise with his new deal.
