AEW Dynamite airs on Tuesday this week. The show will feature a match between “Hangman” Adam Page and Jon Moxley for the AEW Championship. The match will be interesting, and the fans know it.
Moxley talked about his nemesis in his hometown, with Cincinnati’s own Cincy 3:60 and talked about his challenger. He knows that the opponent is great and has the calibre to topple him from his championship.
Yeah, I mean, I don’t think anyone hates ‘Hangman’ Adam Page. He’s a good dude, and he’s been a great champion. He’s an incredible athlete. I have a lot of respect for him, but like I’ve said many times, when the bell rings I don’t really have respect for anybody. … I am going to win by any means necessary. With that being said, I do have a lot of respect for my opponent.
Jon went on to talk about his former nemesis and champion CM Punk without naming him. He was not facing in his hometown, while Punk was a hometown hero. He said that Page may have the same feeling.
In a Chicago situation like that, I actually love that. I had an absolute ball in Chicago being public enemy No. 1. I feel like Hangman Page might be in a similar situation [tonight]. Hopefully for him, he thrives in that situation as much.
Moxley and Page have fought each other for the championship throughout 2022. Moxley is a three-time champion, and Page held the title for 197 days from November 2021 to May 2022.
It will be interesting to see what comes next as the show airs at 8 p.m. ET on TBS. It would be the first time the show will air this time, and it would be a direct competition to WWE NXT.
